Student Chapter of Optica
The Society has support for various social and academic activities. The larger and more active the student chapter, the more support is available (for details see the Optica website). OxOPS aims to organize termly lectures, poster sessions, workshops and visits to other UK Optica student chapters, offering opportunities for its members to exercise their organizational and networking skills in a friendly environment.
OxOPS offers an excellent platform for students of all levels to engage in research dissemination and science communication. The team and the society’s name can help students and young researchers to join forces, obtain funding and use the available opportunities to share their research with the wider public, in and outside of Oxford.
