Our research focuses on the optical and electronic properties of solid state nanostructures for applications such as optoelectronics devices, quantum information processing and photovoltaics.
Current research topics include the study and engineering of excitons in semiconductor nanocrystals; fluorescence and spin properties of colour centres in diamond; controlling the interaction between light and matter using tunable optical microcavities, and the use of plasmonics in photovoltaics.
